They are currently enjoying a significant period of growth in the Belfast office and a major part of that will be to strengthen the Data Engineering, Machine Learning and Data Science teams. Your Next Challenge As the Data Engineering Director, you will initially take charge of assessing their data environment and processes including everything from operational databases to analytical reporting. You will make recommendations on the applicability of the current technologies, making tooling recommendations based on your own extensive experience and knowledge. The company is at a critical time in its evolution and you will help take this early to mid-stage tech company to full maturity! Your Skills + Aspirations You will possess a blend of leadership with a strong technical background - and an understanding of the challenges of working with will possess a strong understanding of data engineering principles including data pipelines, ETL processes, data warehousing, data lakes, ML, and data mesh concepts. You will be a technologist at heart with a broad understanding of computer science fundamentals, platform design, system design patterns, and operating systems.
