Data Engineering Manager

Eames is currently partnered with a global insurer that is looking for a Data Engineering Manager to join their Transformation team and take ownership of their greenfield Azure data platform.This is a London-based hybrid role. You’ll be required to work in the office once a week. The company is offering circa £100,000, depending on experience, plus bonuses and benefits.The role:Lead the team in delivering the successful transformation of the data analytics environment to support the delivery of the Underwriting function's strategic agenda.Establish and deliver a clear roadmap for creating a robust data engineering infrastructure to ensure commercial and strategic success for the business.Develop and maintain automated ETL data pipelines to drive efficiency in the new TOM using Azure and DataBricks technologies.Translate data analytics into a format for presentation to senior division members.The candidates:Experience of managing teams and/or projects with strong stakeholder management skills.Experience in the application of Data Engineering within the Insurance sector (could be a data-focused Actuary going down the Data Engineering route or a Data Engineer with commercial insurance experience)Command of Python and SQL.Experience with the Databricks platform.If you’re interested in this role, apply now.Keywords: Insurance, Financial Services, Commercial Insurance, Travel Insurance, Python, SQL, Azure, DataBricks, Data Factory, Underwriting, Pricing, Transformation,
