Data Lead

Data LeadFully remote (London offices)Salary: £80k - £90kPermanentHL11370 Finatal is currently working with one of the fastest-growing financial services businesses in the UK, with recent private equity investment they have doubled in size and opened multiple new offices across the UK. They are expanding through a rapid buy and build strategy and are now looking for their first Data hire to come and consolidate the data from multiple businesses, IT and ERP/CRM systems to allow for analytical insights and data driven decision making in the near future. Role:Utilising your technical ability, you will pull data from multiple sources external and internal driving the improvement of data quality and developing a single source of truth.You will hire and manage a Data Analyst, training them on how to build meaningful dashboards and reports on Power BI.Develop ETL/ELT pipelines using Fivetran, DBT and a snowflake data warehouse to store data ready for analysis.Reporting to the IT Director you will assist with the commercial use of data and overall strategy with the long-term plan to grow out a team.Using experience with data visualisation (benefit of Power BI) you will present insights and recommendations back to key stakeholders including the c-suite.Requirements:You must have exceptional experience working with DBT, and SQL, and added benefit if you’ve also worked with Snowflake and FivetranTrack record of data engineering role in a greenfield environment, building infrastructure including pipelines and DWH from scratch.Beneficial if you have end-to-end data experience including analysis and visualisation in Power BI with strong stakeholder management skills.Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in related fields such as Data Engineering, Computer Science or any STEM subjects.
