We are seeking an experienced Data Security Specialist with expertise in Microsoft Purview to join our very well known and sought after clients dynamic Information Security team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the protection of sensitive data across our organization by leveraging Microsoft Purview to manage data governance, compliance, and security.



Key Responsibilities:




  1. Implement and manage data governance and compliance policies using Microsoft Purview.

  2. Develop and enforce data security standards, policies, and procedures to protect sensitive information across the organization.

  3. Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.

  4. Monitor and respond to data security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.

  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, and compliance, to ensure alignment on data security practices and regulatory requirements.

  6. Provide training and guidance to employees on data security best practices and the use of Microsoft Purview.

  7. Stay current with emerging data security threats, technologies, and regulatory requirements to continuously improve the organization's data security posture.

  8. Create and maintain detailed documentation of data security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.



Qualifications:




  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in data security, with a focus on data governance and compliance.

  3. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview and other data security tools.

  4. Strong understanding of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and industry standards.

  5. Proven ability to perform risk assessments and develop effective mitigation strategies.

  6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.

  8. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are a plus.
