Hours: Monday to Friday 9 am to 5:30 pm

About the Role:

In this newly created role, reporting to the Head of IT, you'll be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining the company's data warehouse.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement data models and schemas.
• Build and optimise ETL processes for seamless data integration from various sources.
• Develop efficient SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
• Oversee data warehouse build, deployment, and maintenance.
• Ensure high data quality and integrity through validation and cleansing techniques.
• Implement best practices for data ingestion and transformation.
• Optimise database performance and troubleshoot any issues to ensure efficiency.
• Collaborate with business analysts, IT, and development teams to align on data requirements and system integration.
• Support ad hoc requests and maintain comprehensive documentation for workflows and processes.
• Provide support for data-related inquiries from end-users and ensure system availability.

Experience required:

• Proven experience in data warehousing, modelling, and database design.
• Proficient in SQL (SSMS) and ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, SAS DI, Informatica, Talend).
• Experience with data warehouse platforms (e.g., SQL Server, Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake).
• Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Strong understanding of DBMS and data warehousing concepts (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema).
• Scripting skills (e.g., SQL, Python, Shell)
• Experience with cloud-based data warehouses.
• Understanding of data governance and security best practices
