Job Title: Day to Day Supply Teacher
Location: Bournemouth and Christchurch
Salary: £120-£150 dependent on experience
Start Date: Immediate start
GSL Education are currently supporting local primary schools with their supply teacher recruitment. Day-to-day supply teaching is an amazing way to get to know a variety of schools within the local area and put your teaching into practice whilst also allowing you to have a good work-life balance. This is possible due to the flexible nature of the role, where you can choose what days you are available to work.
This role is particularly beneficial for ECTs who are wanting to develop a greater knowledge and understanding of the local primary schools, or teachers who have perhaps taught for a while but now seeking more flexibility within their role. Similarly, for experienced teachers new to the area, it’s a great way to learn more about local schools ahead of any permanent roles.
Day-to-day supply role:
- Providing high-quality teaching using pre-made plans, so that the children’s learning is not disrupted in the absence of their normal class teacher
- Being prepared to cover a range of subjects and year groups, from Reception to Year 6.
- Working alongside support staff to provide a safe and secure environment for pupils to learn
- Following the school’s behaviour policy, adopting their strategies to ensure effective continuity
