Key Responsibilities

As a Shift Engineer, your role will focus on maintaining and enhancing manufacturing processes and equipment to ensure safety, efficiency, and reliability. Key duties include:


  • Performing day-to-day maintenance and improvements on plant, machinery, and services.
  • Conducting preventative maintenance and recommending optimized practices.
  • Diagnosing and repairing equipment faults swiftly to minimize downtime.
  • Ensuring all tasks adhere to food safety and health and safety regulations.
  • Supporting and promoting a safety-first culture.
  • Testing, diagnosing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Identifying and reporting potential machinery defects to prevent failure.
  • Collaborating with external suppliers and OEMs for technical support as required.
  • Contributing to the CMMS database with maintenance data.


What I'm Looking For

I'm seeking skilled and motivated engineers who thrive in a challenging and fast-moving environment. Candidates that will be considered will have:


  • Proven experience in mechanical and electrical engineering within manufacturing, production, or process sectors.
  • An HNC qualification or an apprenticeship, paired with hands-on experience working with high-speed machinery, pumps, valves, and PLCs.
  • Expertise in filling and process technology and familiarity with preventative maintenance techniques.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills to address complex engineering challenges.
  • Demonstrable success in roles within clean environments.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
