Role Responsibilities

As a Dental Engineer, you will be responsible for the following key tasks:

  • Installation, Service, and Repair:

    • Perform installation, servicing, and repair of all dental equipment, including intraoral X-rays, suction devices, autoclaves, dental chairs, and other related dental apparatus.
  • Customer Demonstrations:

    • Provide clear demonstrations of installed equipment to ensure that the customer, typically a dentist, fully understands its operation and is satisfied with the setup.
  • Brand Representation:

    • Act as an ambassador for the company, fostering positive relationships with customers to encourage ongoing business.
  • Site Maintenance:

    • Ensure that the work site is left clean and orderly upon completion of each job.
  • Record Keeping:

    • Maintain comprehensive records of installations, services, and repairs, as well as the usage of company equipment, tools, vehicle, and communication devices.
  • Cabinetry Modifications:

    • Undertake cabinetry modifications and fulfil manufacturers' warranty work as required.
  • Property Management:

    • Take full responsibility for the management and care of company property, including spare parts, tools, and the company vehicle.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Industry Experience:
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience within the dental industry is preferred. However, candidates with transferable skills in electrical or mechanical installation and maintenance will also be considered.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Proficient in working with dental chairs, instruments, suction units, monitors, X-ray machines, and generators, with a good understanding of decontamination equipment such as autoclaves and washer disinfectors.
  • Diagnostic Skills:
    • Excellent fault-finding abilities to diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
  • Qualifications:
    • Relevant electrical and mechanical qualifications, with a working knowledge of hydraulic systems.
  • Licensing and Skills:
    • A full, clean driving licence and strong customer service skills are essential for this role.
