Langdale Chase Hotel, which sits on the banks of beautiful Lake Windermere, has recently undergone a full and significant refurbishment and reopened its doors in November 2023. In that time the hotel has achieved 5 Star Status from the AA and been recognised in the prestigious Times Top 100 Places to Stay, ranked No.3 and North of England Hotel of the Year.
We are now looking for our next Deputy General Manager, reporting to the General Manager, to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of a five-star standard service and exceptional guest experience across all Hotel departments.
Your day to day;
Hosting and supervising to the highest calibre and ensuring that all team members working in the department maintain a high level of hospitality at all times to all guests
Demonstrating an impeccable knowledge of the Hotel facilities to offer the best possible service to guests
Ensuring all guests receive a personalised, high-quality service throughout the guest journey, meeting, and exceeding expectations
Attending senior leadership team meetings and holding monthly meetings with Department Managers to review and discuss departmental priorities
Being fully commercially aware of the sales and budgets across all departments
Coaching and developing Department Managers and ensuring the team have a high level of knowledge relating to the Hotel product plan
Deputising in the absence of the General Manager ensuring a smooth operation across all departments
Who are we looking for?
You will have worked previously in a similar Senior Management role, preferably from a Food and Beverage Management background and will ideally have worked in a high quality Four-Star or Five-Star hotel. Warm Hospitality will come naturally to you and you will have a true passion for providing the highest levels of guest service. You will have extensive knowledge of providing exceptional levels of guest service in the restaurant and bar, with a genuine interest in food and wine.
This is a senior leadership role and therefore you will demonstrate high levels of both self-motivation and the ability to motivate, lead and develop a team.
You will have exemplary customer service skills, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with others to represent the Company and the hotel in a loyal, professional, and knowledgeable manner. You will have a strong work ethic with the ability to multi-task whilst working in a pressurised environment. This role would be ideal for a current Operations Manager from a small hotel looking to develop their career.
