An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated CCAB Qualified Accountant to join the Royal London and Mile End Hospital finance team. We are looking for a driven individual who is self-motivated, pro-active with excellent planning and organisational skills. The post holder is required to have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Main duties of the job This post holder will manage a team of accountants to provide day to day support in all aspects of the hospital's financial performance and business planning. Supporting the Head of Finance and senior teams to deliver all aspects of financial management, including expert advice to the Royal London and Mile End Hospital senior leadership and budget holders and to the Barts Health Group where matters are highly complex or contentious. To manage the delivery of accurate and timely monthly performance reports for presentation at Hospital Board meetings and Divisional performance meetings. There will be a requirement to support the reported performance with an analytical review and to influence actions based upon findings. Person Specification Experience Essential Significant experience of contract management preferably in an NHS environment Experience of completing an annual business planning cycles and contract negotiation Desirable Experience of working in a pathology setting Skills Essential Ability to analyse and utilise complex information, review options and make recommendations to senior managers Ability to think strategically, plan and implement change effectively Excellent planning (short and longer term) and organisational skills.
