Deputy Head of Information Security

Job DescriptionWe have an excellent permanent Deputy Head of Information Security job opportunity. The role is hybrid working in Birmingham.Candidates applying for this role should have the following skills and experience:-Certifications – must have formal certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA)Education – degree levelLeadership, strategy planning, security team experience; managing and developing a teamISO, PCI, NST, Cyber Essentials, NIST CSF (not just data privacy)Governance, policies/standards development, maintenance, and implementation in a large organisationExperience of drafting and reviewing policies and standardsRisk & Compliance management using security frameworks e.g. ISO 27001Experience of regulatory environment e.g. data privacy DPA 2018 & GDPRExperience of working with and establishing relationships with security agenciesIncident ResponseSecurity / architecture design experienceExperience in carrying out security reviewsPresenting and communicating skillsBeing able to deputise for the Head of Information SecuritySupply chain and vendor managementCollaborate with IT / Finance and procurementExperience with NHS Digital/England Toolkits or development of information security training is desirable.
