Children's home Ibstock are recruiting for a Deputy Manager. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Deputy Manager to become an integral part of our support team. In this role, you will support and care for our young people and be responsible for a small staff team.

Our home is a detached property set in a rural location on the outskirts of a Leicestershire village, with access to Burton and Midland's Road network. The home provides a nurturing, supportive, structured and stable environment, on a 24-hour basis, for up to three young people aged up to 18 with emotional, developmental and/or behavioural difficulties.

Due to the location of this role, applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle

A Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People is essential for this role and you should be willing to study towards the Level 5 Diploma. The ideal candidate will have experience and the following characteristics to be successful in this role:

Resilience - We support some of the most vulnerable children in society who have varying degrees of emotional behavioural difficulties, autism, ADHD and associated difficulties so there will be times where your resilience is challenged.

Communication - Communicating with our young people is vital to understand their needs. Positive working relationships, good teamwork and communication plays a key part in ensuring important information is relayed to other staff.

Organisation - Overseeing the effective implementation of care and independence programmes for our young people through the effective line management of the staff team, and manage shift patterns on a rota basis.

Caring - Our young people require the best care we can offer. If you are a naturally caring and compassionate person, this is the role for you.

Attentive - No young person is the same so being attentive to understand them and identify areas where we can support is important.
