Location: Tonyrefail
Salary: �28,000 - �30,000 per annum + Additional �5,000 for Sleep-Ins
Sleep-Ins: �50 per sleep-in (approximately �5,000 extra annually)
Are you an experienced Senior or Deputy in residential childcare, looking for your next career step? We are seeking a committed and dynamic Deputy Manager to join our client in Tonyrefail. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the children's home, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the staff team, promoting a positive and nurturing environment for both staff and residents.
  • Oversee the implementation and review of care plans, ensuring they are tailored to the individual needs of each child.
  • Act as a role model for staff, promoting best practices in childcare and safeguarding.
  • Manage the home in the absence of the Registered Manager, ensuring continuity of care and support for the children.
  • Liaise with external agencies, professionals, and families to promote the welfare and development of the children.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's Workforce (CYP) or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a children's home as a Senior or Deputy Manager.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of safeguarding and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including sleep-ins.
