We are working with a client who specializes in residential care for children with learning disabilities and complex needs to recruit a Registered Manager for one of their distinguished homes. This is an excellent opportunity for a Deputy Manager looking to advance their career and take on a leadership role in delivering high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
·Lead the home, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with Ofsted and Children's Home Regulations.
·Oversee the development and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring children's safety, well-being, and personal development.
·Recruit, supervise, and manage staff, fostering a positive working environment.
·Ensure safeguarding practices are robust and effective, and manage incidents in line with policy.
·Manage resources effectively, ensuring the home operates efficiently and safely.
Qualifications:
·At least 2 years of experience within the last 5 years in a role directly related to the residential care of children.
·Proven experience in a leadership role for at least one year requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a care role .
·Have or be willing to work towards level 5 Diploma in Leadership and management for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification (NVQ).
·Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols and experience developing care plans for children with diverse needs.
·Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and staff alike.
·Experience in supervising staff and managing teams effectively.
·A compassionate approach to care giving, with a focus on enhancing the quality of life for children under your supervision.
