Role: Deputy ManagerLocation: Erdington - BirminghamPay/Salary: £34,791 inclusive of sleep insShifts: Rota pattern including weekends, evenings, sleep-ins, and bank holidaysAbout the CompanyOur client is a dedicated provider of high-quality care for children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). Their mission is to create a nurturing environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential. This 4-bedded EBD home is situated in Staffordshire, near Birmingham, offering a supportive and structured setting.The RoleAs a Deputy Manager, you will assist the Registered Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the home. Your responsibilities will include:Ensuring the home environment meets the needs of the children and young people and complies with regulatory standards.Providing leadership and guidance to the staff team, acting as a positive role model.Supporting the development and review of individual care plans.Maintaining effective working relationships with families, social workers, and other professionals.Ensuring the health, safety, and security of all individuals in the home.Supporting the emotional and practical needs of the children, promoting their social and community involvement.What You Will NeedLevel 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification.Willingness to work towards the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Care.A minimum of 2 years' experience working with children and young people in a residential setting within the last 5 years.At least 6 months' experience supervising professional staff.Full driving licence (automatic/manual).Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work effectively within a team and demonstrate leadership.Key SkillsEffective verbal and written communication.Ability to prioritise workload and manage time efficiently.Team player with a commitment to personal and professional development.Ability to support and motivate staff, promoting a positive working environment.Understanding of adolescent behaviour and the ability to manage challenging situations.BenefitsCompetitive salary range of £34,791 inclusive of sleep insComprehensive training and development opportunities.Support to achieve the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Care.20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.Membership of the Workplace Pension Scheme.How We Can Help YouRandstad offers comprehensive support throughout your application process.
