About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Deputy Manager. In this role, you will support the Registered Manager in creating an environment where each child can thrive and reach their full potential while ensuring that children and young people are actively involved in all decision-making processes.

Residential childcare work often involves unpredictable and varied tasks and responsibilities. Therefore, all employees are expected to be flexible and undertake tasks not specifically covered in the job description as needed. If an additional responsibility or task becomes a regular part of the job, it will be included in the job description after consultation with the employee.

Job Description

• Possess a solid working knowledge and understanding of current care legislation.


• Place high-quality outcomes at the heart of all activities in the residential home.


• Recognise the importance of providing flexible and personalized care packages to meet the unique needs of each young person.


• Ensuring the safety and well-being of each young person by addressing their care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic, and health needs.


• Maintaining appropriate supervision and control of children and young people at all times.


• Collaborating with parents, families, carers, and other professionals to advocate for, protect, and enhance the welfare of children and young people.
