Job Description
As a Deputy Manager, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our residents. We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in overseeing the operations of a care home. The ideal candidate will have experience in dementia care, with strong leadership skills to manage and supervise staff effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading with Passion:
Provide leadership and direction to staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
Championing Resident Care:
Oversee the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care, including medication administration and adherence to care plans. Ensure residents' physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Excellence in Operations:
Collaborate with the Manager to maintain regulatory compliance and manage the day-to-day operations of the care home facility. Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans for residents.
Communication and Collaboration:
Liaise with residents, families, and stakeholders, addressing concerns promptly and professionally. Supervise and train care staff on best practices.
Commitment to Quality:
Maintain accurate records and foster continuous improvement by regularly evaluating care and implementing changes.
Safety First:
Ensure the safety and security of residents and staff.
Requirements:
NVQ Level 3 or above, or willingness to work towards this qualification.
Proven experience in healthcare, dementia care, or senior care.
Excellent leadership and supervisory skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Good organisational and communication skills.
Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Must be a UK resident or have settled status
