Deputy Manager - Children's Residential Home

Location: Reading, RG4
Salary: £32,000 - £40,000 DOE + Fast-Track Progression Opportunities
Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable children and young people? Do you have leadership experience in residential childcare?
We are looking for a dedicated Deputy Manager to join a nurturing children's residential home that provides care for up to three children. Our focus is on therapeutic support and implementing the PACE model (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy) to foster positive outcomes for every child.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Registered Manager in daily operations, ensuring high standards of care.
• Lead and motivate the team, promoting a therapeutic approach to care.
• Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations.
• Provide emotional and physical support to children, following the PACE model.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years' experience in children's residential care, ideally in a senior or deputy role.
NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards it).
Strong leadership skills and understanding of therapeutic care practices.
Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and quality standards.
Full UK Driving Licence required.
