Deputy SENDCo – The Role
A highly regarded secondary school in Stevenage is seeking a Deputy SENDCo to support the SENDCo in leading the school’s inclusive education provision. The successful candidate will:
Assist in overseeing the provision for students with SEND, ensuring high-quality support and intervention.
Work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to create tailored learning plans.
Support the identification, assessment, and monitoring of students with additional needs.
Deliver and oversee small-group interventions and in-class support strategies.
Contribute to staff training and professional development in SEND best practices.
Ensure compliance with EHCPs, access arrangements, and statutory SEND requirements.
