Deputy Site Manager who has exceptional leadership and communication skills and a good understanding of Health and Safety regulations is required for a well-established company based in Stafford, Staffordshire, West Midlands. ALL INDUSTRY BACKGROUNDS CONSIDERED If you have previous experience working at a Recycling Centre / Refuse Centre / Waste Management Company / Scrap Metal Merchants / Composting Facilities / Materials Recovery Facility / Waste to Energy Plant / Landfill Operator or similar, then great. If not, but you have previous management / supervisory experience with a good understanding of Health and Safety regulations and enjoy working outside in a yard / work site environment, then we would like to hear from you too. SALARY: £32,000 per annum + Benefits LOCATION: Stafford, Staffordshire, West Midlands JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent WORKING HOURS: 40 Hours per Week over 7 days (candidates must be flexible due to the shifts running days, nights, and weekends) JOB OVERVIEW We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Deputy Site Manager who has exceptional leadership and communication skills and a good understanding of Health and Safety regulations. Working as a Deputy Site Manager you are not just an operational leader you are a key player in maintaining high standards of health and safety for the company. As a Deputy Site Manager the role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. DUTIES Your duties as a Deputy Site Manager will include: Reporting to the Site Manager Assist with managing the Recycling Team with key focus on Health and Safety, and Quality Quality checking of waste materials Organisation of yard / work areas Delivery of training Issuing of PPE and keeping records Managing sickness/absence, and recruitment Overseeing waste collections and processing of documentation Communicating with the client and Head Office CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Previous management/supervisor experience Previous experience in waste management or similar sectors Exceptional leadership and communication skills Good understanding of Health and Safety regulations Proven problem-solving ability Excellent IT skills Ability to motivate a team and drive continuous improvement Full UK Driving Licence Forklift experience / licence Counterbalance (desirable) HOW TO APPLY To be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
