Source Solutions are recruiting a key position with a successful and growing provider of subsea engineering services, with the opportunity to help shape the in-house analysis capability of the business, adding real value and taking real ownership of the function.

The main focus is on a range of analyses for cables and subsea cable protection systems (CPS) and as such, experience with these systems is preferable, however, candidates with lots of Orcaflex experience and analysis of other subsea systems are also very much of interest, given the niche nature. Analyses include thermal, dynamic, FEA etc.

Most important to this role is the ability to bring expertise in use of Orcaflex and in running analysis / dynamic modelling and apply this confidently across various designs and systems. Ideally the successful candidate will have experience of working with designers either in a similar in-house role or for a consultancy.

Candidate profile:

• Strong experience of Orcaflex and other relevant/transferable software


• Good understanding of analysis of subsea systems and ability to run these autonomously


• Ideally an understanding of cable protection systems or similar mechanical subsea systems


• Formal technical qualification in a relevant subject with mechanical elements
