We are seeking a talented Design and Technology Teacher to join our dynamic and innovative team in Hemel Hempstead, starting in September 2025 . Whether you are a qualified teacher or an unqualified teacher with relevant industry experience, this is an excellent opportunity to inspire students in a creative, hands-on environment and make a positive impact within the department.
Key Responsibilities: Teach Design and Technology across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5.
Plan and deliver creative, practical lessons that inspire and engage students.
Encourage students to develop problem-solving, design, and practical skills.
Promote a strong understanding of sustainability, innovation, and technical knowledge.
Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support their development.
Contribute to departmental initiatives, including extracurricular clubs and competitions.
Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards and help develop the curriculum.
Ensure a safe and productive working environment in workshops and classrooms.
The Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable, but unqualified teachers with relevant experience are encouraged to apply .
Experience teaching Design and Technology or a strong background in design, engineering, or a related field.
A passion for design, engineering, and technology education.
Ability to foster a creative and engaging learning environment.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Knowledge of current curriculum requirements and health and safety regulations related to workshops.
A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to teaching.
