Design Coordinator

Engagement with multiple departments and clients? The Design Co-ordinator role provides all of this! The successful candidate will play an important role within our established Design team. The role will ill have overall responsibility for early identification and resolution of design issues and assist MJM designers in understanding the clients design intent. Other key duties include: Assist the Design Manager with daily Design department meetings and co-ordinate meetings with other MJM departments. Assist Design Manager in the assessment of the Design department capacity. Review and support the design team in the updating and management of Progress status sheets Prepare Design related ad-hoc reports and presentations on projects when required. Assist the Document Controller & Design department in generating Work Order Numbers and Project Numbers. The Ideal Person will: have at least 5 years previous experience working in a Design management/ Co-ordination role with basic 2D drawing capabilities and a good working knowledge of RFI documents. have a proven ability to identify and resolve design related issues work on own initiative and as part of a team. be creative, communicative, flexible and personable Candidates coming from a project management role with a background / strong understanding of design are also of interest.
