This role will see the successful candidate spearhead design and specification of steel overhead line structures and overhead lines. The Role:

• Undertake the design and specification of steel overhead line structures and overhead line design systems
• Take responsibility for project management and ensure the achievement of all deliverables in a timely manner, including financial management and attending site meetings where appropriate
• Take responsibility for all Health and Safety and CDM issues arising on projects and take a lead role in the development of OHL designs and ensure compliance with legislation
• Provide technical expertise to the company, reviewing and development of company systems and provision of technical training as appropriate including mentoring Junior Engineers
• Monitor and undertake day-to-day management of all design activities, verification of all work undertaken by your design teams and ensuring compliance with company Quality Procedures
• Provide site supervision to others and to verify and approved proposed work procedures, designs, drawings and method statements prior to work commencing

The Person:

• Proven experience within the Electrical Transmission industry
• Experience designing high voltage electrical components
