Your new role
As a Design Engineer, your role encompasses a range of critical responsibilities. You'll collaborate closely with the Design Manager to create project timescales and plans that align with deliverables. Ensuring that design projects remain on track both in terms of time and budget is essential. Additionally, you'll provide accurate data for prototyping, efficiently manage product testing, and actively participate in product/project reviews as required by the Design Manager. Your commitment extends to ensuring that all products meet regulatory requirements, ensuring safety and compliance throughout the design process.
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role as a Design Engineer, you'll need a combination of skills and experience. Here's what's essential: Experience: With at least 5 years in a busy Product Design or Engineering Department, you'll bring valuable insights and practical knowledge to the team. Project Management: Your ability to design and manage products from concept through to full production is crucial. Demonstrated project management skills ensure successful execution. Software Proficiency: Proficiency in 3D CAD modelling, preferably using SolidWorks, along with familiarity with Microsoft Office products, enhances your effectiveness
