Design Engineer

Our client a leading supplier of mechanical engineering services, fabrications, architectural steelwork and equipment to major UK companies in the food processing, water treatment and civil engineering industries is searching for Design Engineer to join their team in their purpose-built workshops just outside of Peterborough.�
The successful Design Engineer will ideally have at least 2 years experience in creating 3D Models for design solutions using SolidWorks and competent with CAD applications.�

Responsibilities:�

• To produce designs and drawings to provide solutions for mechanical engineering services, fabrications and pipework requirement to supply the fabrication workshops, site teams and external clients
• You will report directly to the Design Office Manager and liaise with Project Managers, Production Managers, Engineers and clients
• Site measurements as required�
• Create 3D models for design solutions using SolidWorks�
• The production of accurate approval drawings, fully detailing proposals�
• The production of accurate manufacturing drawings

Skills & Experience

• SolidWorks Proficient
• CAD applications
• Ideally 2 years experience�
• Driving Licence is required�
