Job Description
Position: Design Engineer
Location: Witney, Oxfordshire
Job Type: Permanent
Our market leading client who specialises in manufacturing Ultra Low Temperature and High Magnetic Field equipment for the cryogenic community.
Role and Responsibilities –
In this role, you will be designing fit for purpose components, subsystems, and assemblies for the main cryogenics products that this company specialise in.
Other responsibilities include:
Provide mechanical design input to develop new systems and mechanisms or improving existing ones
Support CAD releases and reviews to program milestones, ensuring completion and release on time
Create CAD concepts, parts and assemblies in line with functional requirements, geometric tolerances, manufacturing techniques and internal standards
Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFM & DFA)
Experience or Qualifications –
Mechanical Engineering Degree or senior equivalent experience in Design Engineering
Competent user of 3D CAD, ideally CREO or Windchill PDM
Scientific engineering background (ideally experienced in Cryogenic materials )
