First Achieve's Engineering Division are hiring for our client, an industry leader in delivering exceptional bridging solutions and services, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Engineer to join their growing team. This is a rare opportunity to lead innovative design projects and contribute to the advancement of modern bridge construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct structural analysis and design for various bridge types, including concrete, steel, and composite bridges.
  • Develop and review structural designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
  • Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance their skills and professional development.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within budget and timelines, with a focus on quality and innovation.

Key Requirements:

  • Advanced Qualification (master's degree preferred, minimum bachelor's degree/foundation degree/HNC/HND) in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in bridge design and construction, including hands-on project management experience.
  • Expertise in structural analysis and design software, such as AEC RSA, MIDAS, and IDEA StatiCa.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and building codes relevant to bridge construction.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel and work on-site as required.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to diverse audiences.
