Job Title: Design Estimator

Location:Coventry

Thorn Baker has teamed up with a market-leading offsite construction company based in the Coventry, are known to be the only business in the UK taking an innovative approach to delivering, manufacturing, engineering, and installing their own building system. This forward-thinking employer are driven by their core values and are now looking for an Design Estimator to join their growing team.

Your Responsibilities:

• To produce estimating design models and tender submissions which are accurate, competitive and returned within deadlines.
• The tender process is followed,and actions executed according to the Innovaré Complete Delivery Process.
• Quantities are accurately quantified through 3D modelling and costs accurately derived in the cost plan.
• Risks are identified and mitigated such that projects are delivered safely and with expected level of profitability.

Required Skills:

• 5 GCSE's at Grade C (4) or above which must include Maths and English or equivalent.
• Knowledge, experience and skills using CAD software packages including REVIT and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge, experience and skills using Excel and other Microsoft based software packages
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with the ability to interpret complex plans and specifications.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in preparing estimates and documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams, design teams, clients, and subcontractors.
