Design Manager

With the retirement in October of a long standing team member a rare opportunity has arisen for a Design Manager to join the team.

THE COMPANY:

This regional office is based near Bournemouth and has an annual turnover of circa �100m.

Work is secured via a mixture of competitive tenders, negotiated works with repeat clients and longstanding regional frameworks.� Scope of works includes university Faculty Buildings, local authority schools and colleges, private schools, commercial Offices, student accommodation, heritage work, etc.

Projects are typically �2m - �15m+ traditional and design & build schemes in the Dorset and Hampshire areas.

The business has an excellent reputation for their quality of work, safety, retention, training and development of staff, nurturing and maintaining repeat business with key clients.

ROLE: DESIGN MANAGER

This role will entail the successful candidate working within the Technical department whilst liaising with external consultants, architects and local authorities. Ideally, you'll have worked for a medium to large main contractor as a design manager in the new build sector, on schemes up to the value of �10million. You'll have a strong technical and design background with the ability to manage and advise on the design development from working drawing stages. You need to be able to work independently and as part of the team to produce within deadlines to ensure that construction is not delayed.
