We are working exclusively with an exciting business who are expanding their product range and exploring new markets, including framework agreements for education projects to the value of £2 million.
Now seeking a Design Manager who will be managing the workflow of outsourced Designers on some complex projects and with demanding clients.
You will be involved usually at RIBA stages 1-4, ensuring the designs are conforming to client expectations and to the required timescales.
Key responsibilities:
* Taking a lead in the project design process, ensuring objectives on time, scope and client requirements are met
* Working closely with all key players within the design process, including subcontract Design teams
* Attend and run design team meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are kept updated in the process
* Providing information on budgets and project variations for cost-effective design solutions
* Developing and maintaining project information management processes
* Reviewing design information and providing feedback to Designers
* Keeping up to date with design trends and technologies
About you:
* Driven and keen to grow your career - you will have an opportunity to grow to Senior Design Manager
* Able to work in a fast-paced environment, respond to changing requirements
* Able to apply yourself and "get stuck in" to bring projects in on time
* Prepared to start at the deep end, learning as you go along (but supported by your line manager)
* Ideally experienced with education projects and/or familiar with SIPS or other MMC systems

* Office based in a great rural Northamptonshire location with the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis (ideally 3 days in office, 2 from home)
* Support from your line manager both as you grow into the role but also to gain Chartered status (CIAT, MRICS, CIOB)
