A leading construction company are seeking an experienced and dynamic Design Manager to join their North West team in Warrington. The company deliver innovative and high-quality construction projects across a range of sectors, including Commercial, Residential, and Industrial. With a reputation for excellence and a commitment to sustainability, they are dedicated to shaping the built environment for future generations.

In this role, you will lead the design process from conception to completion, ensuring that project requirements and client expectations are met. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop innovative and practical design solutions, manage design schedules to ensure timely delivery of design packages, and adhere to project milestones. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and approving design documents to ensure compliance with building regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Additionally, you will coordinate with project teams to resolve design-related issues and provide technical support throughout the construction phase. You will maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors, and foster a collaborative and productive working environment. Ensuring that all design activities align with the company's commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility is also a key aspect of this role.

Requirements for the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in design management within the construction industry.
  • Proven track record of managing complex design projects from inception to completion.
  • Previous experience of Industrial projects is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of building regulations, codes, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in design software and tools
