Salter Grange is currently leading the recruitment for a Design Manager to join a team on the design efforts of a student accommodation scheme. This role requires a professional with a strong background in architectural design and project management, with a passion for creating inspiring and functional living spaces.

Main responsibilities:

• Lead the design process from concept to completion, ensuring the project meets all design objectives and quality standards
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop and refine design concepts
• Manage the design team, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality design work
• Oversee the preparation of design documents, including drawings, specifications, and schedules
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and standards
• Coordinate with the construction team to ensure design intent is maintained throughout the construction process
• Conduct regular design reviews and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement
• Prepare and present design proposals to clients and stakeholders

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Design Manager or similar role in the construction or real estate industry
• Strong knowledge of design principles, building codes, and construction processes
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
