Design Manager

A great new opportunity to join a highly regarded Civil Engineering contractor who continues their long-standing relation with Welsh Water until 2030 at least.� My client, with a company turnover of �100 million (a 25% growth in the last couple of years), requires a Design Manager to lead a portfolio of projects through the construction phase. You will be responsible for ensuring the buildability and value engineering of projects. You will be required to attend occasional meetings across Wales, so a full UK driving licence is essential.

As Design Manager you will:

• Be responsible for leading the design and delivery on major infrastructure and water sector projects


• Coordinate multi-disciplinary aspects, including MEICA, Civil, Structural, Planning and HSE to develop innovative design solutions.


• Create best value solutions and the technical delivery of wastewater infrastructure projects

Our client requires a Design Manager with:

• HND/Degree in an engineering related discipline (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical etc)


• Extensive experience working in a multi-disciplinary design environment


• Experience of working on major Civil Engineering projects


• Commercial awareness

Salary and benefits include:

• �60,000 - �70,000 per annum


• Company car or car allowance


• 26 days annual leave (plus Bank Holidays)


• Company bonus


• 40 hour working week
