We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our clients dynamic team in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in managing and coordinating the design process for high-profile construction projects across various sectors. You will work closely with clients, consultants, and project teams to ensure design excellence, innovation, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  Manage the design process from concept through to completion, ensuring compliance with project requirements and regulations.

  Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to drive innovative and cost-effective design solutions.

  Review and approve design specifications, drawings, and technical documentation.

  Ensure design deliverables are met within project timelines and budgets.

  Identify and mitigate design risks while maintaining project quality and safety standards.

  Liaise with planning and building control authorities to ensure regulatory compliance.

  Provide leadership to the design team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

  Support bid and tender submissions by reviewing and enhancing design proposals.

  
  

Requirements:

• 
  

  Proven experience as a Design Manager in the construction sector.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, planning requirements, and industry standards.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience managing design processes on large-scale commercial projects

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

  
  


• 
  

  Proficiency in design management software (such as AutoCAD, Revit, BIM) is desirable.

  
  


• 
  

  A degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

  
  


• 
  

  Chartered membership of a relevant professional body (RIBA, CIOB, ICE) is advantageous.
