Design Manager

Rubicon Consulting�is currently recruiting for a Design Manager on a permanent basis, located in Scotland.

Role summary:

We are seeking a Design Manager to lead and deliver civil design and engineering across a range of projects, including renewables, energy and transmission & distribution infrastructure.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to projects that drive the transition to clean energy. Our multidisciplinary team is dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions safely, efficiently, and on schedule using in-house expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all aspects of civil works design.

• Come up with design concepts, ideas and suggestions.


• Ensure designs align with project specifications, safety standards, and industry best practices.


• Provide guidance and suggestions on civil design aspects of substations.


• Work closely with engineers, designers, and project teams to refine design concepts.


• Ensure designs meet project requirements, industry standards, and regulations.


• �Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize design efficiency and feasibility.

About You:

• Highly motivated with strong communication and coordination skills.


• Experience in Civils Design Management.


• Experience within Energy, Power, Civils or Infrastructure.


• Passionate about delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions.
