The Client
Our client are privately owned construction and engineering company, they deliver single source construction and engineering solutions to the UKs public and private sectors with a specialism within healthcare. They are looking for a Design Manager with healthcare construction experience to join the team.
The Role of Design Manager
The Design Manager is responsible for the projects design from concept with through to site. The Head office-based role, reporting to the Senior Design Manager, shall have the responsibility for the coordination of design activities on a project, or multiple projects.
Manage both in-house and external design team members and contribute to planning and co-ordination in a way that adds value to the processes.
Establish a platform for good communication and collaboration between relevant parties and thereby an effective flow of design and production information.
Establish and subsequently de-risk design problems by finding solutions before they materialise.
Effectively manage and control cost during the process to ensure budgets are met.
Prepare, manage and secure all-party ownership of an integrated design programme.
