Design Specialist/Salesperson

Cogent Staffing are recruiting for an experienced Designer with an aptitude for sales to join our client, a timber & materials supplier based in Central Huddersfield.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy and dynamic team with clear progression opportunities and a bonus scheme in place.
Shifts & salary:
* Full time permanent position
* Monday - Friday
* 7.30am - 5pm
* £40,000 - £45,000 salary DOE, must have 2+ years design experience, any sales experience is a plus.
Key responsibilities:
* Working as part of a busy team taking incoming calls and queries.
* Generate floor plans using customer specifications and finn joist system.
* Working alongside design team to generate roof truss plans from customer specifications.
* Completing quotes for customers.
* Building and managing own sales ledger of accounts.
* Acting as internal sales support when free from design commitments.
* Business development with cold and prospective clients.
* Site visits as required to finalise fittings.
Key requirements:
* Must have 2+ years evidenced experience in a design position, same industry preferred but not essential.
* Ideally has knowledge of timber and sheet materials.
* Ideally has joist/truss experience.
* Self motivated to drive a new department and push sales where required.
* Flexible and reactive.
