Design Technician

Opus People Solutions are seeking a Design Technician in Ipswich to support a local manufacturer.

Our client has a tailored onboarding service that allows you to quickly get to grips with the business offering abundant training and development opportunities.

This company offers hybrid working after successful completion of probationary period (min. of 3 days in the office, up to 2 days at home).

\n

Key Responsibilities include:

\n

\n
• Produce, check and process incoming design drawing requests, technical documentation and technical calculations.
\n
• Understand specification construction, survey reports and construction drawings.
\n
• Liaison with clients and Area Technical Managers.
\n
• Dealing with telephone and email enquiries.
\n
• General administration.
\n

\n

The ideal candidate will be technically minded and originate from a Construction Industry/Architectural background. It is essential to have working knowledge of CAD, with strong computer literacy and the ability to understand architectural drawings, along with a keen eye for detail and the ability to communicate well at all levels.
