Desktop IT Support Engineer
London - Full time on-site
6 months initial contract
£27/hour
We are working with a global bank to hire a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join their team based in London, providing comprehensive IT support for their desktop and desk-side environments in non-trading floors. This role involves supporting MS Windows, Citrix Receiver, MS Office, and various business applications, as well as handling hardware such as laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices.
Main Duties:
Deliver 2nd line IT support to colleagues across the EMEA region
Manage the IT support contact number, respond to calls, create tickets, and escalate issues as needed
Administer IT environments, including PC build and configuration, application software, SCCM, and printing
Liaise with and monitor escalations to 3rd level support groups
Perform daily checks on office printers and conference rooms, logging tickets and escalating issues to 3rd level support
Participate in IT projects as needed
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Citrix Receiver, MS Office, and business applications
Proficient in administering and configuring PC builds, application software, and SCCM
Experience with video conferencing systems and office printer environments
Ability to manage and document incidents and service requests effectively
