Desktop Support EngineerLocation: Luton (Office Based)Salary: £28,000 - £32,000Skills: Windows 10, Active Directory, InTune, SCCM, Excellent Communication skillsWe are looking to recruit a Desktop Support Engineer for a leading technology company. Working as part of a dedicated outsourced team for a customer based in Luton. This is a 2nd line role and the Desktop Support Engineer will be responsible for:Providing support for End User Infrastructure Service, comprising Unified Communications IT services (voice and electronic messaging solutions), and End User IT services, including Personal Computing Devices (desktop, Laptops, Tablet and mobile devices), End Users Support and incident management.Support the role out of desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile devices, including software installations)You will also have the exciting opportunity to work as part of project teams providing desktop support and expertise on project workPlease note this is an office based role and you will work 5 days a week on site at the customers office located in Luton Town Centre.Principal Accountabilities:Provide support for the end user devices including and not limited to Desktop, laptops, Tablets, Smartphones and Wyse TerminalsSupport and maintain the End User Infrastructure Service to contracted SLA's using LANDesk.Provide support for project and small work order activity in a technical capacity,To provide and support the current Windows Desktop environment including install of Licensed and not licensed softwareAssist in the provision of 3rd Line Incident, Problem, Release and Deployment Management, as necessaryEnsuring that internal processes are followed and that service desk incidents are updated in an accurate and timely mannerCreate and update process documentationEssential Competencies:MUST have demonstrable experience supporting and complex End User EnvironmentsMUST have in-depth knowledge and experience of Desktop computing, MUST have comprehensive knowledge of current protocols and standards, such as Active Directory, Group Policies, Citrix, VPN, Encryption SoftwareExperience of working on large scale desktop and technology refresh programs,Experience of creating and managing SCCM deployments including capture of images and rolling out softwareMUST have hands-on experience troubleshooting End User hardware, such as desktop, Laptops, Tablets, mobile phones and Wyse TerminalsMUST have exceptional communication skills and the demonstrable ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization including written and verbal communications and presentation materialMUST have the ability to act as liaison conveying information in suitably accurate and articulate manner between various IT functions and the clientMUST be able to drive and have clean driving licenseMUST be a team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organisation with the ability to influence and lead others
