Encocam is a successfully established world leader in the automotive safety industry. We have an exciting opportunity for a creative and motivated development engineer to join our growing team.
Based in Huntingdon Cambridgeshire we are a prominent manufacturer of crash test barriers and Anthropomorphic Test Devices (ATDs), we have also diversified our engineering portfolio to include motorcycles, composite panels, and CNC precision machining. Most of our products and parts across the brands are developed and manufactured in-house under the 8 different Encocam divisions, giving a unique opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of engineering, be it precision machining, composite manufacturing, transfer moulding or 3D printing to name a few. Cellbond is a leading supplier of vehicle crash test barriers and has been established now for over 35 years! We supply most of the worlds demand for vehicle crash test barriers and are also involved in the development of the future versions. Cellbond ATD is devoted to the development of (ATDs), it is one the cornerstones of our growing business.ATDs are designed to correlate closely with the characteristics of the Human body and simulate movements during a crash.

We are searching for a passionate Engineer. Who has experience in a precision engineering environment and enthusiastic to learn and develop their skills.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading engineering projects. Using engineering processes and knowledge to deliver the optimum solution.
Support and offer guidance on other projects, as necessary.
Support our existing product range where required to ensure they are up to date and help identify/develop areas of possible improvement.
Provide technical support to our existing and future customer base when needed.
Be adept in drawing for manufacture and understand the guidelines set out in BS8888 Standard.
Produce technical documents, reports, and presentations for both internal and external use.
Research and investigate technologies and processes to ensure that the Company remains aware of latest developments.
Identify and source Regulations and Standards to support product development.
You will have experience of solving engineering challenges. You will also have an understanding of general manufacturing techniques and engineering materials including moulded plastics, metals, and sensors. With Good 3D CAD skills (preferably Solidworks) needed for the preparation of manufacturing drawings and document control during the production process.
You will also be able use your analytical and strategic thinking skills whilst handling time pressures to meet production and delivery deadlines from our MRP system. It is also preferable that you have a degree level education in a related engineering field, although this is not essential.
