We specialize in working with medium-sized businesses to help them solve challenges, fulfil objectives, and provide tailored support for their technology roadmap.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time remote role for a DevOps Engineer - salary up to £35K. As a DevOps Engineer at Axon IT, you will be responsible for implementing and managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions, developing software, implementing Continuous Integration practices, performing system administration tasks, and working with Linux environments. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize software development processes, improve system performance, and ensure the smooth operation of our clients' IT infrastructure.Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and improving our development infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of our software development processes. You will work closely and within the development team to optimize efficiency and streamline workflows. This role encompasses the various aspects of cloud computing, including knowledge of M365, Graph API & Azure (AZ900 or equivalent experience), Azure AD, authentication methods, Azure storage, as well as DevOps concepts such as source control, Azure DevOps, and agile methodology. Additionally, the role involves scripting experience and knowledge including PowerShell and API interaction, and basic coding skills. Your ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure as Code (Iac). Manage infrastructure using configurations such as Terraform.Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD). Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.Monitoring and Logging. Ability to monitor application performance and use alerting and logs to track behaviour.Cloud Service Management. Deploy and manage resources on the cloud, such as Azure.Security and Compliance. Implement best security practices throughout all infrastructure and applications.Collaboration and Communication. Collaborate with development operations and other members of staff to streamline and automate services.Develop automations to provide efficiencies throughout the different areas / teams in the businessRequired ExperienceTo be successful in this role, you should have experience in the following areas:Dev OPS ConceptsBasic concepts of Source control (Git Repos or Devops Repos)Azure DevOps (preferable but not required as training/guidance will be provided)Agile Methodology (preferable but not required as training/guidance will be provided)Scripting ConceptsBasic knowledge of PowerShell or Terraform (Pipelines, Script creation, manipulation etc)Basic Knowledge of VS Code as an IDEBasic Knowledge of API interaction with PowerShell or any other scripting/coding framework.Coding ConceptsBasic understanding of coding on Java Script and Type Script (preferable).Graph API Interaction for Microsoft services and systems (preferable).If you are a detail-oriented individual with a passion for optimizing development processes and ensuring system reliability, we would love to hear from you.
