Ada is partnered with a growing Hedge Fund in their search for a DevOps Engineer to join their technical team. Due to company growth, the client is looking for an Engineer with around 7 years of technical experience and a strong background in Financial Services/Capital Markets.Role: DevOps EngineerIndustry: Finance (Hedge Fund)Salary: £125k DOE + BonusLocation: London (1-2 days per week in the London office)Benefits: Hybrid Remote, Bonus, HealthcareCompany:The Hedge Fund has built both a Quant Platform and a Multi-Strategy Discretionary Platform, focused on commodity sectors such as Power, Energy and Gas, Coal, and Emissions.They are currently based in Europe and Dubai and expanding to the UK, and looking to scale up over the next 18 months.You'll be working alongside the Head of Tech/DevOps team.Their ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience and a background in financial services/investment management environments.Requirements:Demonstrable experience in DevOps/Platform engineering in Finance or similar security-conscious sectorsExperience with optimizing systems that manage load and latency to meet the demands of high-speed tradingExperience in the fintech sector or with financial applicationsStrong experience with improving security compliance/DevSecOpsProficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python or Java).Strong knowledge of cloud services (AWS or GCP).Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).Experience with IaC (Terraform)You'll ensure the high availability/DevSecOps essential to the financial markets, optimizing system configurations that manage load and latency to meet the demands of high-speed trading.This position is based in London with 2 days expected in the office per week, paying circa £115k with benefits including Shares, 27 days holiday, Healthcare, and a Training budget.You’ll need a technical background in AWS or GCP, Kubernetes, Python (or Java), with experience in ensuring the high availability and DevSecOps essential to the financial markets.You'll thoroughly enjoy improving security compliance and maintaining security standards, managing access controls, vulnerability assessments, as well as security audits.Key Responsibilities:Design, implement, and maintain scalable platform infrastructure.Develop and optimize microservices and APIs to enhance system performance.Ensure platform security, reliability, and efficiency.Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in platform engineeringSalary: £110k - £125,000 DOE + Bonus + Benefits Hybrid Role – Based 2 days per week in London If this is something of interest and you would like to find out more, then please let me know by applying below.
