We are looking for a Digital IT Business Partner / Innovation Manager to join our global “Digital and Portfolio Management” team. As the main contact for RWE Generation’s new IT requirements and innovations, you will build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and IT functions. Your role includes capturing and evaluating new IT requests, managing the IT budget, and ensuring solutions align with RWE IT and Generation strategies. You will advise on innovations, support digitalization efforts, and bridge the gap between Business and IT, acting as a trusted partner and consultant. Your key responsibilities are:
* Be the main liaison for any IT demands acting as one-face-to-the-customer for RWEG´s Business functions, communicate requirements into the RWEG IT Organisation
* Maintain a strong working relationship with Business bringing customer satisfaction to the next level
* Assist in the creation and start of projects or agile developments based on identified needs in agreement with the overall portfolio
* Support the Business for any IT issues in cooperation with internal IT teams and external IT service providers and ensure quality and delivery of optimal service and taking it to the next level
* Create and maintain an external network with partners to research, exchange and follow the latest innovative technological trends in IT fields such as cloud, AI, blockchain, AR/VR, Data and Analytics etc. and evaluate their potential impact and value for our business
* Support and/or lead the development, prototyping, testing and implementation of innovative solutions for business customers using agile and lean methods and tools
*Your profile*
* Bachelors or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Economics, Engineering, Natural Science or similar
* Practical experience with IT project management and agile methods (SCRUM, Kanban, DevOps), innovation techniques (design sprints, design thinking), as well as stakeholder management, IT controlling, IT business analysis or IT consultancy
* Strong understanding of business processes and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
* Excellent moderation, facilitation, presentation, and persuasive communication skills
* Solution-oriented, business-focused, customer-centric, with strong self-management and entrepreneurial mindset
* Business fluent in English language and work experience in complex international organizations
* Willingness to travel
*Advantages, but not a must*
* Experience in IT Service Management and corresponding frameworks (e.g. ITIL)
* Experience in common ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
