From bags and accessories to leather-bound notebooks, diaries, stationery and home accessories; every Smythson piece embodies meticulous craft and an unmistakable sense of British sophistication.The Digital Marketing Manager will manage the online marketing budget to drive the right level of traffic and deliver budgeted sales and customer numbers in all markets Smythson.com is active in.Key responsibilities will include: Managing the overall acquisition and retention strategy through PPC, SEO, paid social, display, affiliate and email marketing.Actively managing & optimising all performance marketing channels.Owning the media budget and optimising channel allocation.Setting out and delivering the customer strategy, actively managing the base to ensure performance can be met from a customer volume point of view.Creating and maintaining the Digital Marketing calendar in conjunction with the multi-channel strategy and wider communication plan. Managing all email activity.Reporting on performance.PPC, SEO, Paid Social, Display & Affiliate Marketing (50%)Owning the spend budget and recommend the right mix of channel allocation to meet the required traffic and sales numbers.Developing and managing paid search, paid social and display campaigns across all active markets.Optimising the product feed and review keyword performance to drive a strong ROI on all activity.End-to-end management of the creative process for all required assets, working closely with all relevant teams to ensure successful execution and timely launches.Working with the network (currently Rakuten), actively manage the affiliate programme to optimize performance, reviewing new opportunities and executing campaigns with existing partners. Driving SEO performance working closely with the technical and editorial teams to optimise the site and produce regular, relevant content.
CRM and Email Marketing (30%) Assessing the shape of the customer database and produce volume targets for acquisition, retention and reactivation to deliver against.Actively managing the customer database, using acquisition and retention strategies to ensure net growth of the active base.Evaluating customer and prospect segments for appropriate marketing outreach.Developing multi-channel strategies with retail, wholesale and other channels around the customer to increase overall engagement.Developing and implementing the email marketing plan, using personalization to deliver targeted content to relevant segments of customers.Managing the email creation process from briefing to scheduling.We are looking for a skilled Digital Marketing Professional with at least 5 years experience with good knowledge of retail. You must be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of marketing in online and multi channel environment with experience of developing strategies across all digital channels. A clear knowledge and understanding of SEO is a must along with demonstrable success in acquisition and retention marketing, Further skills include:A clear knowledge & understanding of SEO, PPC, paid social, digital display, affiliate marketing and eCRM. Experience of managing a customer database including acquisition, segmentation and reactivation.Strong analytical skills; ability to analyse data, draw conclusions, develop and present actionable recommendations.Excellent knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Business Manager.Strong agency and budget management skills.This is a great role within a prestigious Company, to work alongside our Digital Director and really make a difference.
