This Digital Print Finisher role is based in Brighton (BN1 8AS) & is a key role for our business as you will be supporting the Print & Production Teams in day to day print finishing tasks.

The Digital Print Finisher role is working - Monday to Friday 37.5hrs per week(some flexibility is required during busy periods). In return for your hard work, you will receive:

Candidates with Print/Mechanical Finishing is advantageous but we will also consider candidates with good Production Operative experience who wish to develop their skills & develop a career.
Main Function:
To carry out all aspects of mechanical finishing operations to ensure that production output continually meets specified quality standards and agreed levels, within the required timescales.
Key Performance Tasks:
Work in accordance with company quality procedures at all times to ensure compliance with working practices and standards.
Ability to operate machinery in the most effective manner.
Provide detailed reports on discrepancies between estimated and actual machine times.
Ensure all maintenance is carried out to agreed standards and on schedule, for your allocated machinery.
Ensure the finishing area and your allocated machinery is kept clean and tidy by carrying out daily inspections at the start and end of each shift.
Ensure all documentation is completed accurately to ensure that a true record of work produced is available at all times.
Work with the Finishing Shift Supervisor to improve efficiencies wherever possible and report all issues that affect production and efficiency.
Work additional hours when required by the company to cover absenteeism and busy periods.
Perform other duties as reasonably correspond to the general requirements of the post and are appropriate to its level of responsibility in order to contribute to the success of the Company.

Ensure compliance with the Quality and Security Policies and Procedures (see attached documents).

Ensure all products meet specified requirements and quality standards.
Accurate and legible recording of production related documentation.
Ability to quickly identify operating problems and act in to minimise down time
Receptive to cross training on other types of equipment as directed
Demonstrate flexibility by moving between departments.
Perform housekeeping to required standards.
Strive to improve efficiencies wherever possible.

Skills:
Ability to undertake detail work in finishing formats using appropriate equipment.
Ability to understand written Works Instructions.

A sound general knowledge of the operating procedures.
To be an effective team member.
Flexibility and ability to work to tight deadlines and to rapidly changing priorities.
