Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled individual to join our Digital Solutions Team as a Trainee Engineer. This role is ideal for someone with a background in IT, engineering, or digital solutions who is passionate about problem-solving and delivering exceptional customer support.
\n
As a Digital Solutions Trainee Engineer, you will provide technical assistance to customers, sales teams, and field engineers, ensuring that issues are resolved efficiently and professionally. You will also assist in pre-sales technical support, software installations, and digital integrations while maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and clients.
\n
Key Responsibilities
\n
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
\n
\n- Provide remote technical support to customers and internal teams via phone and digital platforms.
\n- Manage support tickets, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
\n- Maintain accurate records of support cases using CRM systems.
\n- Assist engineers with ZEISS Smart Services and digital device integration.
\n
\n
Pre-Sales & Customer Engagement
\n
\n- Support the sales team by providing technical expertise in pre-sales meetings.
\n- Advise customers on digital solutions and software applications (e.g., FORUM, Cirrus Review).
\n- Conduct basic software installations and configurations for customers.
\n
\n
Internal Collaboration & Administration
\n
\n- Work closely with the Integrated Solutions Team on FORUM and HDP projects.
\n- Assist with administrative tasks within the Digital Solutions Team, including helpdesk management.
\n- Help maintain the Digital Solutions inbox and prioritize incoming support requests.
\n
\n
Skills & Qualifications
\n
Essential:
\n
\n- Degree, diploma, or certification in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
\n- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
\n- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
\n- Basic knowledge of networking, system configurations, and software installation.
\n- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
\n- Full Driving Licence

Desirable:
\n
\n- Experience in technical support, IT helpdesk, or software troubleshooting.
\n- Understanding of medical imaging software (FORUM, Cirrus Review) or digital integration.
\n- IT certifications (CompTIA A+, ITIL, Microsoft Certified) are an advantage.
\n- Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK, Ireland, and internationally.
