Our client is a highly regarded, mid-size consulting firm, with deep expertise across Risk & Data within retail banking. Over the last 12-18 months, when many other firms have been scaling back, they have continued to expand and enjoy significant growth. As part of their continued expansion, they are looking to hire a commercially switched-on Director for a senior role within their Data Governance practice. For this role they are looking for a director-level candidate with experience in delivering large-scale data governance programmes within a retail banking environment. Exposure to Data Lineage, or Data Quality is also expected. This person will need to have solid knowledge around BCBS 239, and also of Credit Risk. This is a hybrid role which will have a mixture of overseeing delivery, as well as a sales focus. The sales element will include defining the proposition, responding to RFP's, and being able to 'sell' the data governance offering to the market. For this reason the ideal candidate will have a blend of consultancy and industry experience.Candidates will be joining a growing and thriving business, with very ambitious plans. This is a firm that has won multiple awards – not only for the work they do, but also for how they treat their employees. This is reflected in their extremely low employee attrition levels, and high employee satisfaction ratings. Please note that there is flexibility on location for this role, as long as they can regularly get into one of the firm's main offices in Scotland, London, or the north of England.
