Job Description We are actively seeking a Director of Finance who will provide operational finance leadership for the BoTree Hotel, a luxury destination located in Marylebone, and Lincoln Plaza Hotel, a Curio by Hilton in Canary Wharf. Your duties will include: Developing departmental standards of performance documentation, including brand, hotel and Company activities, incorporating legal and best practice protocols. Implementing the standards of performance procedures by ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with standards and managing the Finance team in the delivery of their work practices with advice and guidance from the Group Financial Controller and relevant Head Office personnel. Continuously review all areas of responsibility against departmental standards of performance, actively seeking ways to improve the department and produce, review and implement resulting action plans and departmental empowerment guidelines where necessary. Participate in the implementation and evaluation of Hotel s business plan, budget and objectives to ensure optimum customer satisfaction, sales maximisation and profitability. Controls and analyses departmental costs, taking action to control negative deviation. Manages the balance sheet reconciliation process Manage the Hotel Finance Teams Manage the forecast and internal and external reporting processes. Ensure that all Ledger accounts are managed correctly on hotel PMS. Ensure that hotel stock control is maintained in line with company standard. Preparation of management accounts: weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually. Manage the control of, but not limited to, the following: - Implementation of systems & processes. - Hotel Audit process. - Staffing levels for finance teams. - Hotel Banking. - Coordinate information requests from external Conduct commercial efficiencies every 6 months to ensure a competitive cost base. Conduct monthly financial performance reviews with hotel teams. Ensure necessary tools are in place to guide and manage direct reports to convert effectively whilst providing necessary support. Protect personal data of guests and team members following GDPR and PCI training. The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience : Finance Qualifications Minimum of 2 years experience in finance management in a hotel background Understanding of Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry The ability to communicate with people at all levels Experience of working in a self-accounting environment Demonstrable experience in compiling and implementing budget and associated plans Good knowledge of a variety of finance systems and the ability to adapt to new systems including implementation of such systems Knowledge of Payroll systems and purchasing systems. Consideration will be given to a strong Finance Manager/Controller with all other required skills. Experience of working in either a franchised or managed environment under a large brand Knowledge of Harri Payroll system, Sage, Birch Street & Procure Wizard.
